The stay was fine for a weekend getaway. Nothing fancy. Coffee is offered in the morning. No tea, no water, not breakfast.

Nothing fancy. Clean room. No coffee or tea offered in the room. Coffee is offered in the mornings. No tea, just coffee and no breakfast as advertised.

Not much to look at from the outside or from the lobby, but inside the room was comfortable and updated. Every staff member seemed nice and friendly. Would stay here again if ever in town.

The place was ok for the money. Very polite staff. Hot water was warm at best.

We were pleasantly surprised with our experience at the St. Stephen, SC Econo Lodge. Two of our group of three ladies have years of experience traveling to small towns and are accustomed to disappointing motel stays. But this place was not a disappointment! The owner and his wife greeted us warmly and treated us with respect. During our 3-day stay, we asked for assistance with several needs related to the reason for our visit, and regardless of the number of times we interrupted them, they and their employee were kind, helpful, and personable. The facility was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Although prior reviews on this site mentioned breakfast, that was no longer the case (which we knew ahead of time), but fresh coffee was available 6-9am and there is a microwave in each room, and a grocery store nearby. If you require a high-end pillow, you may want to bring your own. It looks like we’ll need at least one more visit to St. Stephen SC. We look forward to staying at the Econo Lodge again!

upon arrival the room was very clean. Toiletries and towels were in place, bed very comfortable. Desk clerk very friendly and knowledgeable.

Very professional staff that were friendly and attentive. Updated rooms were clean and nice. Comfortable bed and pillows. Super pleased with our stay!!

Breakfast advertised on ******* . No breakfast.. coffee only from 6-9am. Takes act of Congress to get towels. Owners milking property til they sell it!! My dogs liked all the nasty smells though!!
